Pizza Hut’s latest brand campaign, which premiered during the NCAA Sweet 16 on March 27, introduces a new character, Peter Zahut, and brings back a beloved menu item alongside new dipping sauces. These limited-time offerings are designed to elevate the pizza experience, adding fun and excitement to every gathering.
Peter Zahut, described as “the ultimate delivery legend,” is portrayed as the go-to person who never shows up empty-handed. Whether delivering a hot pizza or setting up the perfect alley-oop, Peter is portrayed as the key to making every moment bigger, better, and more enjoyable.
Melissa Friebe, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Hut, explained that the campaign is more than just about showcasing their pizza. “It’s about highlighting the good times and the big and small moments of joy that come with adding pizza to any occasion,” she said. “Just like our campaign, our latest culinary innovations are equally as fun.”
Among these innovations is the return of the fan-favorite Cheesy Bites Pizza, featuring 28 pull-apart, cheese-filled bites in place of a traditional crust. The bites are designed for dipping, dunking, and sharing, adding a unique twist to the classic pizza.
Additionally, Pizza Hut is introducing the Ranch Lovers Flight—a trio of dipping sauces aimed at enhancing the pizza experience. The flavors include Chipotle Ranch, Ultimate Ranch, and Pepperoni Ranch. The Pepperoni Ranch, though flavored with signature pepperoni spices, herbs, and flavors, does not contain actual pepperoni.
Rachel Antalek, Pizza Hut’s head of food innovation, emphasized that the Ranch Lover’s Flight was created to take the dipping experience to the next level. “As we bring back Cheesy Bites Pizza, we wanted to offer three unique ways to enjoy it, making this the ultimate dip-and-dunk experience just in time for March Madness,” she said.
This new campaign aims to celebrate the joy of pizza and the moments it makes better, with a fresh take on flavor and fun.
