A fresh, buzz-worthy pizza concept is making its way to East Dallas. Stoner’s Pizza Joint, known for its quirky name and creative menu, will open a new location at 2335 N. Fitzhugh Ave. #10 in May. The fast-casual, delivery, and takeout pizza joint has gained attention for its laid-back vibe and its wide-ranging menu featuring pizzas, calzones, strombolis, wings, salads, and desserts.
Founded in Georgia in 2013, Stoner’s Pizza Joint began franchising in 2018, and by 2020, Fort Lauderdale franchisee John Stetson took the helm as CEO. The chain has become known for its fun play on stoner culture, with menu items like “munchies” that include pepperoni pizza rolls, cheese sticks, and garlic knots.
The menu includes both classic offerings like pepperoni pizza, as well as unique specialty pies such as the steak pizza with onions, mushrooms, and peppers on white garlic sauce, and the taco pizza, which is topped with beef, jalapenos, taco seasoning, and comes with a side of lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and buffalo sauce. Pizzas are available in three sizes: 10-inch, 14-inch, and the “Really Big” 18-inch, with prices ranging from $10 to $27.
This new location will be the second Stoner’s Pizza Joint in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, following a Rowlett opening in September 2024. Both establishments are owned by Wakaas Abdrazak, a franchisee with over 20 years of experience in construction. Abdrazak is also working on opening another Stoner’s Pizza Joint in Fort Worth’s West 7th Street district in early April 2025, with a future location planned for McKinney in 2026.
Abdrazak explains that his goal in bringing Stoner’s Pizza Joint to the DFW market was to offer something fresh and different from other local pizzerias. He cites the company’s leadership team’s decades of experience in the pizza business as a key factor in his decision to join the franchise.
In terms of design, Abdrazak has drawn on his construction background to create an inviting atmosphere tailored to DFW’s refined tastes. By modernizing the chain’s traditional color scheme and updating the overall ambiance, he aims to create a space that resonates with the local community, while still maintaining the spirit of the original brand.
“We keep some of the soul of the city in each location and incorporate elements of the area into the logo,” says Abdrazak. “It’s all about serving the community and making sure we’re a good fit for the neighborhood.”
With the opening of the East Dallas location just around the corner, Stoner’s Pizza Joint is poised to further cement its presence in the region, bringing a fun and unique pizza experience to more customers in the DFW area.
