Chip Myles, the “pizza guru” behind Myles Pizza Pub on South Pleasantburg Drive, is celebrating nearly 50 years in the pizza-making business. Known for his dedication to perfecting his craft, Myles is expanding his menu with new midday specials designed to offer both value and flavor. These specials feature the beloved golden-brown, cheesy, and crunchy pizzas that have become a hallmark of the restaurant.
The new midday menu offers a selection of the pizza shop’s best-loved items, including house cheese bread with two topping options, a variety of pizzas with any topping, garlic cheese, and fresh salads. Guests can also enjoy 9-inch pizzas and combo meals that come with either fountain drinks or beers.
A lesser-known fact about Myles Pizza is that Meredith Myles, Chip’s daughter and co-owner of the restaurant, was once a pastry chef. Meredith has carried over her culinary expertise to perfecting cookies, which are now featured on the midday menu. Guests can pair a freshly baked chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie with a glass of wine. The cookies, described as crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, have received rave reviews from those who attended a sneak preview in late March.
The Myles family opened their first Myles Pizza Pub in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1977, where it operated for nearly 40 years before closing in 2016. The family then relocated to Greenville, reopening the restaurant at 555 S. Pleasantburg Drive in 2019. The pizzeria is currently open Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
