Calgary is set to host the national kickoff of the 2025 Startup Canada Tour on April 29th, marking the beginning of a powerful new partnership between Pizza Hut Canada and Startup Canada. This collaboration aims to empower the next generation of Canadian entrepreneurs, particularly in challenging economic times.
Through the Equal Slice Program, Pizza Hut will co-present the tour and contribute a significant $300,000 in cash grants. The funds will be complemented by educational resources and coaching to support early-stage business owners, helping to reduce barriers faced by aspiring entrepreneurs across the country.
The partnership also introduces the Startup Canada Equal Slice Pitch Competitions, offering entrepreneurs the chance to secure crucial funding and expert guidance. In addition, the program will feature custom workshops and enhanced digital tools via Startup Canada’s Business Owner’s Toolbox, now powered by Pizza Hut’s Equal Slice initiative.
Breaking Barriers for Entrepreneurs
Kayla Isabelle, CEO of Startup Canada, emphasized the importance of bold action during uncertain times. “In times of economic uncertainty, bold action is critical,” she stated. “We are tearing down systemic barriers and forging new pathways for Canadian entrepreneurs.”
This partnership aligns with Pizza Hut Canada’s ongoing commitment to entrepreneurship. “Our 640 Pizza Hut locations across Canada are owned by local entrepreneurs and families,” said Daniel Meynen, General Manager of Pizza Hut Canada. “Through this partnership, we’re expanding our impact and helping new entrepreneurs succeed.”
A Legacy of Supporting Entrepreneurs
The Equal Slice Program is entering its fifth year, continuing its mission to eliminate barriers to employability and entrepreneurship for diverse communities across Canada. By providing support to budding entrepreneurs, Pizza Hut and Startup Canada are helping pave the way for a brighter future in business for Canadians everywhere.
With this exciting new partnership, entrepreneurs across the country can look forward to increased opportunities, valuable resources, and a supportive network to help them succeed.
