A South Jersey pizza shop is taking a creative approach to raising awareness about autism, one pizza box at a time.
Genova Pizza, located in Audubon, has introduced a new box design featuring the owner’s nephew, Jaxson, who was diagnosed with autism during his toddler years.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the pizzeria announced their initiative:
“Let’s keep the momentum rolling!
In honor of Autism Awareness Month this April, Genova Pizza is donating a portion of all proceeds to the Autism Speaks organization.
It’s simple!
Purchase any grandma pizza, that’s right, ANY grandma pizza & we will donate to Autism.”
Having served the community for three decades, Genova Pizza has recently embarked on a mission to think creatively, particularly with their pizza box designs. In a recent interview with NBC10’s Matt DeLucia, the owners discussed their innovative approach to spreading awareness and supporting a cause close to their hearts.
