Domino’s Pizza is bringing a taste of the Big Apple to over 20,000 locations across the country with the introduction of New York Style Pizza, announced by the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based chain on Monday.
The hallmark of New York Style Pizza is its larger size and thinner crust, making for big, foldable slices reminiscent of those found in New York City slice shops. Domino’s rendition of this iconic style starts with hand-stretched dough that bakes into a pizza that’s easy to fold and enjoy on the go, just like the locals in NYC.
While New York City slice shops have long popularized this style, major pizza chains are now embracing it, with Papa John’s debuting its version in 2021 and Pizza Hut reintroducing its Big New Yorker last year due to popular demand on social media.
Domino’s take on New York Style Pizza features fresh dough hand-stretched to perfection, resulting in a crust that strikes the ideal balance between thickness and flexibility. The classic pie comes topped with savory sauce and a blend of mozzarella and provolone cheeses, but customers have the freedom to customize with their favorite toppings.
Russell Weiner, CEO of Domino’s, expressed pride in the new pizza crust, emphasizing its ability to showcase the deliciousness of Domino’s ingredients. He stated, “New York Style Pizza may become our customers’ new favorite crust.”
To celebrate the launch of New York Style Pizza, Domino’s is offering several enticing deals. Customers can enjoy a large three-topping pizza for $10.99 or opt for two or more menu items, including medium two-topping New York Style Pizzas, for just $6.99. Additionally, Domino’s Rewards members can redeem 60 points for a free medium two-topping New York Style Pizza.
