With the Dallas Mavericks poised to face off against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, anticipation is running high in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Joining in the excitement, Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar has announced a gesture of solidarity with their hometown team.
In a show of unwavering support for the Mavericks, three of its Dallas-area locations will undergo a temporary transformation, adopting the moniker “Dallas Pizza” starting Wednesday. The rebranding will persist throughout the duration of the seven-game series.
In addition to the name change, Dallas Pizza will be offering its Loyalty Members an enticing deal of 50% off a single order of wings during all NBA Finals games.
“We take immense pride in our brand, but our allegiance lies with our beloved city of Dallas,” remarked Dallas Pizza President Jeffrey Melnick in a press release. “For the duration of this highly anticipated series, we are choosing to sever ties with our counterparts in the east to wholeheartedly rally behind the Mavs.”
The following locations will be temporarily renamed:
2501 E. Lamar Blvd. in Arlington
6501 North Fwy. in Fort Worth
1100 Market Place Blvd in Irving
According to the restaurant’s announcement, the half-off wings promotion will be available on Thursday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, with the potential for extension during Games 5 through 7 if they become necessary.
As Dallas Pizza embraces its new identity in support of the Mavericks, fans eagerly await the tip-off of what promises to be an electrifying NBA Finals showdown.
