Pizzaca, a trendy eatery in the coastal suburb of Scarborough, has been named Perth’s Best Pizza by 92.9 Triple M, following a highly competitive voting process involving thousands of locals.
The beloved neighborhood spot, frequented by West Coast Eagles star Jake Waterman and radio personality Katie Lamb, emerged victorious against three other finalists: Matteo’s in High Wycombe, Tinos Pizza in Beeliar, and Maestro Sourdough Pizza in North Beach.
“This was the closest vote so far with over 1,000 votes coming through in the last 24 hours alone,” Triple M stated.
Pizzaca owner Kara Bizzaca expressed her gratitude and pride during an interview with hosts Xav and Michelle, highlighting the strong community of pizza lovers that Pizzaca has fostered. “We love the little community we have; sometimes our customers come in more than once a week!” Bizzaca said.
She also mentioned one of their unique pizza offerings, which rivals the popularity of the classic margarita. “It’s a hard one – we’ve had a few that have been around the 15 years we’ve been operating. The margarita is still popular, but also the satay!”
As part of their win, Pizzaca received an advertising package from 92.9 Triple M. This accolade is part of 92.9 Triple M’s Xav and Michelle’s ‘Best of Perth’ search, which also recently named Alex Junior as Perth’s best coffee shop and Last Crumb Cake Co as the best bakery.
