If you enjoy pizza and ranch dressing, your meal can now support a worthy cause in Austin, Texas. Detroit-style pizza restaurant Via 313 is running a special promotion where purchasing a Margherita pizza or a side of ranch dressing will contribute to the Austin Pride Foundation.
From now until August 4, Via 313 will donate $1 from every Margherita pizza and side of ranch dressing sold to the Austin Pride Foundation. This organization is dedicated to educating, resourcing, and connecting the LGBTQ+ community in Austin.
This initiative is part of Via 313’s “Better Giving Through Pizza” program, which aims to give back to local communities. Since its launch, the program has donated over $200,000 to more than 45 charities.
The Margherita pizza will remain available through August 4, allowing customers to support Austin Pride even after Pride Month concludes. This extended period aligns with Austin’s major Pride celebration, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 10.
Via 313 has its roots in Austin, having started as a food trailer at a bar on East Sixth Street in 2011. It has since expanded to multiple brick-and-mortar locations in Austin, as well as in other Texas cities like Houston and San Antonio. Additionally, Via 313 has extended its reach beyond Texas, opening locations in Utah and Colorado.
