Valentino’s, a longstanding pizza chain based in Lincoln, has permanently closed its pizza shop located at 3310 A Street.
A notice on the door announced the closure: “With deep regrets, the decision has been made to close this location permanently. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
Founded 67 years ago in 1957 by Val and Zena Weiler, Valentino’s began as a pizzeria after the Weilers decided to close their fruit market in Lincoln. Over the years, the pizzeria evolved into a regional chain, expanding its footprint significantly.
In 1971, the Messineo and Alesio families purchased Valentino’s, guiding its growth to 18 restaurant locations across two states.
