Maine (WABI) – In a vibrant display of employee appreciation, Jason’s New York Style Pizza hosted its annual Pizza Games, bringing together staff from all three of its locations for a day of fun and friendly competition.
The Pizza Games featured a series of challenges designed to showcase the skills and creativity of Jason’s employees. Competitions included the biggest dough stretch, best-looking pizza, and dough tossing, allowing employees to demonstrate their pizza-making prowess. In addition to the contests, the event honored employees who reached significant milestones and recognized the top performer from each shop with the prestigious Employee of the Year award.
Zachary Black, Chief Experience Officer at Jason’s New York Style Pizza, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a positive work environment. “Over the years, I’ve found success in investing in our employees and organizing events for them. This helps build a sense of community and encourages long-term commitment to our company,” Black explained. “We aim to make Jason’s Pizza a place where people enjoy working and see it as more than just a temporary job.”
Black highlighted the event’s role in breaking down the stigma often associated with kitchen work. “There’s a perception that kitchen jobs are just transient positions. We want to change that narrative and show that working at Jason’s Pizza can be a fulfilling career,” he said.
The event also featured door prizes and culminated in the awarding of a grand prize—a trip to Florida, adding an extra layer of excitement and incentive for the participants.
Jason’s New York Style Pizza’s commitment to employee appreciation through events like the Pizza Games not only boosts morale but also helps in creating a dedicated and enthusiastic workforce.
