VANCOUVER, BC — Pi Co, a popular Canadian pizza chain, has closed its two Vancouver locations, marking the end of its presence in British Columbia. The closures were carried out quietly, without any formal announcement from the company.
The two locations, situated at 514 West Broadway and 574 Granville St., were the only Pi Co restaurants in B.C. The chain, which boasts over 20 locations in Ontario and a pair in Saskatchewan, has now completely withdrawn from the province.
Pi Co’s departure from Vancouver was subtly managed. The company did not issue any public statements online; instead, it simply removed mentions of Vancouver from its social media bios and marked the two locations as closed on its website. However, physical signs posted at the West Broadway restaurant confirmed the closure.
“With unfortunate news we will be closing permanently,” reads a sign dated June 28 at the West Broadway location. The notice also expressed gratitude to customers for their support over the past year.
Pi Co first entered the Vancouver market with its Granville location in 2022, followed by the Broadway site about a year later. The chain is known for its made-to-order Neapolitan-style pizzas, a concept that has been popular in Ontario since Pi Co’s inception in 2016.
Despite its success elsewhere, Pi Co’s venture into Vancouver has come to an abrupt end, leaving local pizza enthusiasts without their signature quick-serve pies.
