Newman’s Own, the philanthropic company known for donating 100% of its profits to support children facing adversity, has launched a national “Pay What You Want” Pizza truck. This innovative initiative allows customers to set their own price for a slice of pizza, with all proceeds benefiting the Newman’s Own Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to nourish and transform the lives of children in need.
The Pay What You Want Pizza truck embarked on its journey in New York City on June 20 and is traveling across the United States throughout the summer. Its next stop is Chicago on Wednesday, July 17, where it will be stationed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 22 S. Halsted St. in the West Loop.
Visitors to the truck can savor a variety of Newman’s Own pizzas, including Thin & Crispy Crust Pizza (Uncured Pepperoni, Four Cheese, and Supreme), Stone-Fired Crust Pizza (Margherita and Roasted Garlic & Mushroom), and the new Sourdough Crust Pizza (Meatball). The Sourdough Crust pizza, alongside expanded offerings of Stone-Fired Crust pizza, was introduced in April 2024 to coincide with the truck’s launch. Each city will feature between three to five different pizza types, depending on local availability.
