Franco Manca, with restaurants in Chichester, Brighton, and Hove, has introduced a new summer menu. This seasonal offering is designed for enjoying on warm evenings.
The restaurant has launched the “Sipping and Sharing” menu, featuring tarallini (crunchy Italian snacks), smoked almonds, Nocellara green olives, and various sharing platters. Special bundle deals are also available, including two cocktails for £13.50. Options include Aperol Spritz, Limoncello Spritz, Strawberry Sbagliato, and new non-alcoholic choices like Crodino Non-Alcoholic Spritz and Strawberry Nojito. This menu will be available until the end of August.
Franco Manca’s summer pizza selection includes:
Number Three: Halloumi cheese, organic tomato, mozzarella, roasted peppers with garlic and capers, caramelized red onions, and watercress pesto.
Number Eight: Free-range marinated chicken, roasted courgette base, mozzarella, Franco’s grana, fresh mixed chilies, and crunchy tarallini crumbs.
Number Nine: Italian smoked beef, mozzarella, wild rocket, Franco’s grana, capers, black pepper, and lemon dressing.
We visited the Franco Manca location in Hove to sample these new items. The service was excellent, with a friendly and relaxed waitress enhancing our dining experience. The restaurant, located opposite George Street, offered a pleasant view of the lively street scene bathed in evening sunlight.
We tried the Number Three and Number Nine pizzas. The Italian smoked beef pizza impressed with its bold flavor and distinctive sourdough crust, which added a unique dimension to the taste. The wild rocket provided a fresh crunch, balancing the flavors well. The Number Three pizza, topped with pesto, was a new and delightful experience, described by my guest as one of the best pizzas they had ever tasted.
Overall, the new summer offerings from Franco Manca were satisfying and perfect for the season.
