Fort Myers, FL — A new dining spot has opened its doors in Fort Myers, offering a mix of thin-crust pizza, smash burgers, and other bar favorites. Destiny Jennings, a seasoned veteran of the restaurant industry, launched Wicked Pub on July 19.
Jennings, who previously managed Stevie Tomatoes in Fort Myers, decided it was time to strike out on her own. “I was always working hard for someone else,” Jennings explained. “My husband encouraged me to start my own place, and it’s the best decision I’ve made.”
Wicked Pub is located in a tucked-away spot off Colonial Boulevard, in the former site of Taste of Europe at The Colonial Center plaza. The location also houses popular spots like Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi and El Gaucho Inca Restaurant. Despite the lack of signage, Jennings believes the location is ideal. “We have a lot of regulars from the Florida Academy in the same plaza,” she said. “The staff and students have been incredibly supportive.”
Jennings describes Wicked Pub as a casual, local hangout. “It’s a no-judgment zone,” she said. “People come in to have fun, whether they’re sitting at the bar or picking up takeout.”
The pub’s interior features a long bar that runs the length of the dining room, with a few tables scattered throughout. “We’ve done some painting and added high tops, but we’re still working on the space,” Jennings noted.
In the kitchen, Jennings focuses on homemade dishes. “I love cooking and feeding people,” she said. “I make almost everything in-house — from marinara and pizza dough to sausage and mozzarella sticks. Even the chicken and beef are fresh, never frozen.”
The pub’s smash burgers are a crowd favorite, along with chicken tenders and wings. Jennings has also seen growing popularity for her pizza. “I can’t keep enough dough in stock,” she said. “I’m making new batches every day.”
The pizza, which takes about three days to prepare, is Chicago-style — thin, crispy, and cut into squares. “It’s super thin,” Jennings said. “I experimented with a lot of doughs until I found the perfect one.”
Customers can build their own pizza or choose from 10 specialty options, including unique offerings like teriyaki or Buffalo chicken, BLT, and the spicy pig with house-made sausage, bacon, corn salsa, lime, jalapeños, and barbecue sauce.
The menu also includes a variety of pub starters such as fried pickles, loaded fries, and the Wicked Nuts — fresh pizza dough fried and tossed in garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. Sandwiches, salads, tacos, and other signature dishes like chicken mac & cheese and ribs round out the offerings.
Wicked Pub serves a selection of domestic, imported, and craft beers, as well as red and white wines and seltzers. Happy hour runs from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and all day on Friday. For non-drinkers, the pub offers coffee, handcrafted lotus energy drinks, and kava and kratom, which are handled by Jennings’ daughter. “She’s also in charge of all the social media,” Jennings added.
Jennings spends most of her time in the kitchen. “I like to be hands-on to ensure the quality stays the same,” she said.
Wicked Pub is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The pub is closed on Mondays. Outdoor seating is available, and the patio is dog-friendly. Takeout and delivery are also offered.
