FENTON, Mich. (WJRT) – In celebration of local athlete Grant Fisher’s remarkable Olympic achievement, Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Fenton treated mid-Michigan residents to free pizza. Fisher, a Grand Blanc native, made history by becoming the first American man to medal in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races in a single Olympic year.
The restaurant announced that it would give out free pizzas all weekend to loyalty members if Fisher reached the podium in either event. True to his reputation, Fisher did not disappoint, earning medals in both races and giving the community a reason to celebrate.
“We’re thrilled to honor Grant and share in this experience with our community,” said Ryan Holland, Manager of Boston’s in Fenton. “Since opening in 2013, we’ve been committed to supporting local schools and athletes. This celebration is a continuation of that commitment, and it’s truly an awesome experience for everyone involved.”
Though the 2024 Olympic Games have concluded, Boston’s of Fenton remains in the competitive spirit. The restaurant plans to broadcast the upcoming Paralympics, running from August 28 to September 8, offering more opportunities for the community to gather and cheer on their favorite athletes.
