GEDDES, N.Y. — Toss & Fire Wood-Fired Pizza is set to take over the iconic spot previously occupied by Dinosaur BBQ and Gianelli Sausage at this year’s Great New York State Fair.
This marks the local pizza chain’s eighth year at the fair. During the fair’s 13-day run, Toss & Fire will debut four new pizza creations available exclusively at the event, while also bringing back four fan-favorite options.
New Pizza Creations:
Chicken Potsticker Pizza: Featuring chicken potstickers, pecorino, mozzarella, scallions, sesame seeds, and Thai chili sauce.
Chicago Beef Pizza: A blend of olive oil, fresh garlic, pecorino, mozzarella, cheddar, and provolone, topped with slow-roasted sirloin, mild giardiniera, and banana peppers, served with a side of au jus for dipping.
Bold Coast Lobster Mac Pizza: Beer-cheese mac & cheese, pecorino, mozzarella, and fresh Maine lobster.
Key Lime Cannoli Pizza: House-made key lime cannoli filling, topped with toasted graham cracker, cannoli shell, and finished with raspberry sauce.
Returning Favorites:
Bit of a Pickle Pizza: Olive oil, fresh garlic, pecorino, cheddar, mozzarella, dill pickle chips, applewood smoked bacon, and a ranch drizzle.
SummerCuse: Smashed salt potatoes, pecorino, cheddar, mozzarella, applewood smoked bacon, pulled pork, Dinosaur BBQ sauce, and sour cream.
Poutine Pizza: Olive oil, fresh garlic, pecorino, mozzarella, topped with crispy french fries, cheese curds, and beef gravy.
Mamacita’s Birria Pizza: Stewed beef, pecorino, mozzarella, fresh cilantro, white onions, cotija cheese, and a fresh lime wedge, served with a side of consommé for dipping.
In addition to its award-winning wood-fired pizzas, Toss & Fire will offer a selection of New York State and domestic beers, Ashley Lynn wine slushies, and chicken wings, including a fair-exclusive wing called “The Spicy Dino,” which features Dinosaur BBQ sauce and Mike’s Hot Honey.
The Toss & Fire stand will be open from August 21 through September 2, operating daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Toss & Fire has locations in Camillus, North Syracuse, and inside Harvey’s Garden in Syracuse.
