Brick Lane is set to come alive with a massive street party featuring a drag queen disco and free pizza. The annual Brick Lane Block Party, taking place on August 24, has expanded this year to include more of the Truman Brewery estate, creating a mini-festival atmosphere in the heart of the area.
This year’s event will introduce two new venues: Ninety One (formerly Vibe Bar) and Juju’s, with Juju’s staying open until 4 a.m. Meanwhile, Cafe 1001 will host DJ Marcia Carr, alongside resident DJ Blue Ringed Baby.
London collective Off The Cuff will take over Brick Lane Tap Room, while Sleazy Disco will present a drag disco with queer dance party experts Sue Veneers. Adding to the festivities, attendees can enjoy free slices of pizza.
At 91 Living Room, Spanish artist DREA will perform an exclusive set following their standout performance at Boiler Room. GEE LEE and Kojay b2b P-Lucas will also be part of the lineup. The Bar 91 courtyard will be transformed into a unique space offering entertainment, drinks, and food throughout the night.
The grand finale will take place at Juju’s, which will be converted into a warehouse venue featuring a state-of-the-art sound system. Cody Currie will headline the space, joined by Tim Garcia.
Limited early bird tickets for the Brick Lane Block Party are available now through RA, Dice, Skiddle, and Fatsoma.
