Indulge Pizza, a new family-owned pizzeria, opened its doors on July 20, led by owner and executive chef Doug White, alongside his wife Jennah LaCoste and their sons, Dylan, 18, and Colton, 15.
Doug White’s passion for cooking began at the age of five, and by 13, he had already gained experience working in various food establishments, from fast food to fine dining. In his 20s, White discovered his love for pizza and the unique style of cooking it requires.
“Word of advice: find people that make you better,” White said, reflecting on the journey that led to the opening of Indulge Pizza. “That’s how all this happened.”
A native of Granville, White expressed a desire to give back to the community where he grew up. The family has been catering events with a focus on fresh ingredients, and White takes pride in making everything from scratch, including the sauce, dough, and sub rolls.
In addition to their culinary endeavors, the couple is in the process of launching Slate Capital Community, a non-profit enrichment program aimed at providing diaper and necessity banks, among other community-focused initiatives.
The menu at Indulge Pizza goes beyond just pizza, offering a variety of options including calzones, stromboli, quick bites, wings, salads, grinders, dinners, and fried dough.
Indulge Pizza is located at 38 Main Street, Granville, NY. The restaurant is open Monday from 3-8 p.m., closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday from 3-8 p.m. Delivery via DoorDash is expected to be available within the next week.
