New Jersey often takes pride in its pizza, and many locals would argue that the best slice in the state comes from DeLorenzo’s in Robbinsville.
While New York City pizza is widely praised, many New Jersey residents believe DeLorenzo’s holds the top spot. I’ve tried pizza in both cities and, in my opinion, DeLorenzo’s stands out as the best pizza in New Jersey and beyond.
DeLorenzo’s is known for its exceptional tomato pies, featuring a thin, crispy crust and a light, flavorful tomato sauce. The pizzas are so satisfying that it’s easy to enjoy two whole pies without feeling overfull.
The popularity of DeLorenzo’s is evident from the long lines that form outside when the restaurant opens at 4 p.m. on weekends. This past weekend, the scene was no different.
The restaurant’s high demand often makes it difficult to reach them by phone or secure a table, as they do not accept reservations. Arriving early is advisable if you want a seat.
On my recent visit, I was able to get in line before opening time, which allowed me to secure a table quickly. The staff at DeLorenzo’s are efficient, and knowing my order in advance ensured that I received my pizza promptly.
