ROSEVILLE, MI — Former President Donald Trump made an unexpected stop in Michigan on Monday, bringing pizzas to his supporters after delivering a speech in Detroit.
Following his appearance at the National Guard Association of the United States’ 146th General Conference on August 26, Trump visited the Trump Force 47 campaign office in Roseville before departing on his flight.
Trump Force 47, a volunteer organization, describes itself as “the official army of neighborhood organizers working together to defeat Kamala Harris and the far-left liberal Democrats” in the upcoming November election.
Trump was greeted with cheers as he arrived with boxes of pizza from Green Lantern Pizza, a popular metro-Detroit establishment.
“I just wanted to pay my respects. We love you all,” Trump said to the enthusiastic crowd.
Outside the campaign center, lines of supporters waved signs and cheered, while inside, volunteers chanted “Trump” and captured the moment on their phones.
During his brief visit, Trump discussed the upcoming November 5 election, expressing confidence that there is more enthusiasm now than during the 2020 election. He also criticized his opponent, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, calling her “worse” than President Joe Biden.
Trump claimed that the United States is currently seen as a “laughingstock all over the world,” but he promised to restore the nation’s respect if re-elected.
“We’re going to do something that I think will be unbelievable,” he told the crowd.
After his remarks, Trump spent a few minutes taking photos with supporters and vowed to return, pledging to “make America greater than ever before.”
