FORT WORTH, TX — Mr. Gatti’s Pizza has opened a new location at 5203 McCart Ave. #205 in Fort Worth. The grand opening on August 26 marks the start of a weeklong celebration featuring raffle prizes and exclusive Gatti’s merchandise.

The new restaurant boasts a 7,500-square-foot game room with over 40 arcade games. It also includes an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, dessert pizzas, and a salad bar. A party and meeting room is available, seating more than 60 guests.

Menu highlights include The Sampler, The Deluxe with sausage, pepperoni, and smoked provolone, and BBQ chicken. A basic 12-inch cheese pizza with one topping is priced at $12.

Lunch specials are available from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Options include pepperoni rolls and salad for $10, eight wings and salad for $13, and a medium pizza with two salads for $15.

Founded in Stephenville, Texas, in September 1964 as The Pizza Place, Mr. Gatti’s Pizza was rebranded in 1969 by founder James Eure, who moved to Austin and named it after his wife’s maiden name.

The chain has a significant presence in South Texas but operates only three locations in the DFW area: Allen, Plano, and a carryout store in Fort Worth.

Owner Kirk Jefferies, a Texas native and Texas Tech graduate, has invested over $3 million to open this new location. Jefferies, a long-time fan of Mr. Gatti’s Pizza, views the new family entertainment center as a commitment to enhancing the Fort Worth community.

“This new family entertainment center represents more than just an expansion of Mr. Gatti’s—it’s a commitment to enriching the Fort Worth community,” Jefferies said. “I am deeply invested in creating spaces where families can gather and create lasting memories. I invite everyone in the community to discover the joy and tradition of Gatti’s Pizza.”

This is Jefferies’ second Mr. Gatti’s location in the area. The first, a delivery-carryout store at 2812 Horne St. #100, opened in September 2023. He also operates other franchises, including Jason’s Deli.

Previously, a Mr. Gatti’s location opened in Fort Worth in 2016 at 3280 W. Seventh St. in Museum Place but closed in 2018. There were also locations in North Richland Hills and Richardson that have since closed.

Mr. Gatti’s Pizza now operates 77 restaurants across the Southeast, including 45 in Texas, with additional locations in Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
