BRISTOL, TN (WCYB) — Johnny Brusco’s New York Style Pizza held a special event on Tuesday, August 27, offering free meals to first responders as a gesture of appreciation. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., EMTs, firefighters, police officers, and medical professionals were invited to enjoy a large two-topping pizza at no cost.
The event, dubbed “Community Hero Night,” took place across several Johnny Brusco’s locations, including Bristol, Kingsport, Piney Flats, and Johnson City.
Brittany Barnett, the General Manager of the Bristol, TN location, shared her thoughts on the event: “If they come in with a badge or uniform, they get a free large two-topping pizza. It’s just a way to say thank you.”
Barnett also mentioned plans for a similar event in October, which will be dedicated to veterans.
