The Chicago Sky’s 2024 season has been a rollercoaster. Despite a strong start, the team has faced some tough losing streaks but still holds on to its eighth-place spot in the league. Head coach Teresa Weatherspoon is working hard to keep the Sky in the playoff race, all while ensuring she stays energized.
Weatherspoon, who played seven seasons with the New York Liberty, is no stranger to New York’s famous thin-crust pizza. Now, as she leads the Sky in Chicago, a city known for its deep-dish pizza, it’s natural to wonder which style she prefers.
When asked about her pizza preference by Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Weatherspoon gave a lighthearted but cryptic response.
“Not answering that right now,” Weatherspoon said with a laugh. “C’mon man, just know that I love New York City. Everybody knows that. I love it with my heart and soul, but for right now… I’m in Chicago.”
It seems Weatherspoon isn’t ready to publicly choose between Chicago’s deep dish and New York’s thin crust. For now, she’s making it clear that while she holds a deep affection for New York, she’s focused on her current role in Chicago.
