Charlottesville’s Jefferson Park Avenue neighborhood has welcomed a new pizzeria and gelato shop, Pi-Napo, into the community.
Located in the space that previously housed Fry’s Spring Station for 14 years, Pi-Napo offers 12 flavors of gelato and a menu focused on pizzas made with fresh ingredients. Some of the ingredients are even imported directly from Italy, enhancing the authenticity of their offerings.
One of the owners, Onur Basegmez, explains that their goal is to give customers an authentic Italian experience through both the food and the restaurant’s ambiance.
“We’re offering a more affordable way to experience Naples,” Basegmez said. “The moment you walk in, you’ll hear the music and see images of Rome, Naples, and Florence on the walls, bringing a little bit of Italy to Charlottesville.”
