Stellar Pizza, a new robotic restaurant, is set to open in Los Angeles next spring. The restaurant, founded by three former SpaceX engineers, features a machine that can produce a pizza every 45 seconds.
The company was established in May 2019 by Benson Tsai, Brian Langone, and James Wahawisan, all of whom previously worked at SpaceX. Tsai, the CEO of Stellar Pizza, spent five years at SpaceX designing advanced battery systems for rockets and satellites.
The team has assembled more than 23 former SpaceX employees to develop a touchless, automated pizza-making machine that fits into the back of a truck. This machine can make, bake, and top a pizza in under five minutes.
Stellar Pizza will offer customers a choice of pepperoni or supreme pizza, or the option to create their own with fresh toppings such as onions, bacon, chicken, and olives.
