Plans are underway for a new pizza restaurant and takeaway on Pudding Lane in Maidstone. Dimitri Zeto has submitted a change-of-use application to convert a former hair salon at 28 Pudding Lane into a pizza takeaway.
The building, part of the ground floor of Star House—a five-story structure dating back to 1934—is situated within the Maidstone Conservation Area. However, like other properties on Pudding Lane, it is not listed as a historic building.
Zeto’s proposal includes minimal exterior changes, with the only modification being the installation of a filtered clean air flue on the rear side of the building to service the kitchen.
The site was last occupied by Headonism Hair Salon and was previously used as a tailor’s shop. Zeto’s plan is expected to create one full-time and two part-time jobs. If approved, the pizza takeaway would operate daily from noon until midnight.
