The much-anticipated YYC Pizza Fest is back for its 10th year, running from September 20 to October 6, 2024. This annual event, presented by Calgary Meals on Wheels and supported by Global Calgary and QR Calgary, brings together local restaurants to compete for the title of Calgary’s best pizza.
During the festival, participating restaurants create unique pizzas, vying for top honors in several categories: Top Rated Pizza, Most Popular Pizza, Most Innovative Pizza, and the coveted Baker Award for Best Crust.
How can you get involved? Simply choose a pizza from the list of contestants, visit the restaurant, and enjoy! Afterward, you can rate the pizza to help decide the winners.
In addition to celebrating Calgary’s pizza scene, the festival also supports a good cause. With each pizza sold, a portion ($1 to $4) is donated to Calgary Meals on Wheels, helping to provide nutritious meals to those in need throughout the city.
