September 9, 2024, Neapolitan pizza chain Pizza Pilgrims has secured its biggest location yet at 219 King’s Road, part of the Sloane Stanley Estate.
The new 2,200 square-foot restaurant is set to open in mid-November, offering a Capri-inspired experience. It will feature seating for 80 diners, both indoors and outdoors, and include a cozy basement dining room that will transform into a cinema, called ‘Cinema Paradiso,’ adding an interactive element for Chelsea locals and visitors alike.
The King’s Road location will transport guests to 1950s Capri, embracing the Italian “la dolce vita” lifestyle. Its distinctive design complements the area’s growing list of independent eateries, such as Alley Cats, Dez Amore, and Josephine. Another restaurant, Fantomas, is also set to open soon.
Thom Elliot, co-founder of Pizza Pilgrims, expressed his enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to be opening on such an iconic London street. We immediately fell in love with the site and are excited to bring something unique to Pizza Pilgrims with the Capri-inspired design and our cinema space downstairs. Our father ran a pub near King’s Road years ago, so this area holds a special place in our hearts. See you soon, Chelsea!”
