Domino’s has launched a new promotion aimed at countering rising prices and shrinking portion sizes seen at other fast food chains.
In response to growing criticism over price increases in the fast food industry, Domino’s is offering a new deal. In 2023, McDonald’s faced backlash after a 10% price hike led to a drop in customers. Similarly, Burger King was criticized for significant price increases on items like the Texas Whopper meal and the Big Fish meal.
On September 9, Joe Jordan, president of Domino’s U.S. and global services, announced that the company would introduce new “affordable meal options” to address high inflation.
“Many companies are shrinking products to avoid raising prices,” Jordan said. He highlighted Domino’s effort to improve its offerings by making their “biggest and best offer” even better.
From September 9 to September 29, 2024, customers who order a mix-and-match deal online will receive a free upgrade from a medium to a large pizza as part of the MOREflation promotion.
The new slogan for the deal is “Get MOREflation, not shrinkflation,” which reflects Domino’s commitment to providing more value.
Currently, this promotion is available only at Domino’s locations across the United States. It is unclear if or when the deal will be offered internationally. U.S. customers can take advantage of the MOREflation deal until September 29.
