A new monthly street food event, Food.Fest, will debut this week in the city centre. The festival will take place at Circle Square, just off Oxford Road, on Thursday, September 26. It is scheduled for the last Thursday of each month.
Running from 12 PM to 3 PM, this event follows a successful street food festival held in June, which showcased four of the North West’s top food traders. The residency will feature a variety of rotating vendors, offering unique lunchtime options for city residents.
This month, attendees can enjoy authentic Greek cuisine from the Malaka Brothers, who will serve classics like gyros, souvlaki, and halloumi fries. Fat Frank’s, known for their New York-style pizzas at The Taphouse, will also participate, offering slices of popular choices such as Buffalo Chicken and Smokey Pepperoni.
Additionally, Triple B by Eat New York will return, providing bagels, burgers, and beers, including their Reuben bagel and loaded pastrami burger. Circle Square’s own Little Bao Boy will feature Asian street food, including their signature bao buns, like pulled teriyaki mushroom and char siu pulled pork.
A Food.Fest spokesperson said, “Food.Fest has quickly become a neighborhood event, attracting food lovers from around Oxford Road to enhance their lunch hour with incredible food options. The positive feedback from vendors and attendees shows strong support for this monthly event. We invite everyone to join us for some great food.”
