Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has announced plans to open a new location in the former Barclays Bank building on Bury New Road in Prestwich. The site has been vacant since August 2022.
The new pizzeria will occupy a spacious 3,000 square feet and will feature seating for 150 guests, including a covered courtyard that can accommodate 30 people.
This opening follows the success of Rudy’s locations in Didsbury, Sale, and Altrincham. The Prestwich site will be the eighth Rudy’s location in Greater Manchester and the first in North Manchester.
Neal Bates from Rudy’s expressed enthusiasm about revitalizing the vacant building. “We can’t wait to re-open the doors of this previously unloved venue in Prestwich and share our passion for Neapolitan pizza with our North Manchester fans and future Rudy’s lovers,” he said.
He also highlighted Prestwich’s vibrant high street and welcoming community as ideal for their next venture. Bates looks forward to joining the area’s diverse food and drink scene and contributing to the suburb’s success.
The new Rudy’s location in Prestwich is expected to create up to 40 jobs.
