Hampden will soon lose a beloved dining venue as The Arthouse Pizza Bar and Art Gallery prepares to close its doors permanently after 11 years.
Owners Randy Oto and Priya Rayadurg announced the closure on their Facebook and Instagram accounts. The popular establishment, located at 1115 W. 36th St., has not been able to extend its lease. To mark its farewell, The Arthouse will host a “Going Out of Business” party on October 26.
The Arthouse is well-known for its brick oven pizzas, featuring unique toppings like blueberry chili sauce combined with mozzarella and goat cheese. The venue also offered a Late Night Happy Hour on weekends and hosted events such as Open Mic Comedy and Live Irish Music nights. Additionally, all artwork displayed in the gallery is available for purchase.
