Residents of Neutral Bay have expressed outrage after a video surfaced showing pigeons eating ingredients at a local Crust pizza shop.
The footage, shared on TikTok, captures three pigeons pecking at pizza toppings inside the Crust store on Ben Boyd Road. In the video, no staff members are visible, and the post, uploaded on Sunday, has already gained over 35,000 views.
Many locals were quick to voice their disgust, with several vowing to avoid the restaurant in the future. One commenter wrote, “This makes me so angry. We ordered pizza there last Tuesday, and I felt sick the next day. No more pigeon poop pizza for us.” Another added, “Call the Health Department. That’s revolting.”
Despite the uproar, some took a more humorous approach. One local joked, “I’ve had pigeon pie before—too many bones,” while another quipped, “Ham, pigeon, and pineapple pizza, anyone?”
A Google search reveals that the Crust pizza outlet is under new management. Crust Pizza, which started in 2001, now operates over 130 stores across Australia. According to the company’s website, Crust prides itself on using fresh ingredients and hand-preparing every pizza.
Mosman Collective has reached out to Crust for a response to the incident.
