Starting in mid-to-late 2025, Walmart customers across the United States will be able to purchase frozen pizzas made by Katie’s Pizza & Pasta, a local restaurant based in St. Louis.
Katie’s Pizza & Pasta, which operates three locations in the St. Louis area, including one at Ballpark Village, received a significant opportunity after a successful pitch meeting with Walmart executives in Bentonville, Arkansas. This meeting resulted in a rare “Golden Ticket” offer for the restaurant.
The partnership means that Katie’s hand-made frozen pizzas will be available in Walmart grocery stores nationwide beginning in mid-to-late 2025.
Owner Katie Lee and Culinary Director Chef Jake Sanderson highlighted their ambition to expand the brand and share their award-winning pizzas with a broader audience during their pitch to Walmart executives.
“We’re so grateful to our St. Louis fans who have supported us as we started offering frozen pizzas through our restaurant during the pandemic,” Lee said in a statement. “We dreamed big and expanded into local grocery outlets, then into nationwide shipping, and now into wider retail distribution with Walmart.”
Currently, Katie’s frozen pizzas and pasta bakes are available at local St. Louis grocery stores such as Dierbergs Markets and Straubs, as well as other retailers like Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme, Kings-Balduccis, Mothers, and Whole Foods Markets.
