Gail Becker, founder of CAULIPOWER, is excited about celebrating National Pizza Month in October. Halloween, one of the busiest days for pizza sales, adds to the festivities. With a high demand for pizza from restaurants and delivery services on Halloween, the freezer aisle also sees increased activity. Becker launched CAULIPOWER to provide tasty gluten-free pizza options for those with gluten sensitivities or allergies.
“I love National Pizza Month because it allows us to explore creative ways to enjoy pizza,” Becker said. “We constantly innovate to provide a healthy, great-tasting alternative. It’s important for us to create an inclusive table that everyone can enjoy. Pizza is our specialty. We have several new products, from nostalgic pizza bites to indulgent pies with premium ingredients, plus plain crusts for sweet or savory dishes. There is really something for everyone.”
Becker noted that Halloween perfectly aligns with National Pizza Month. She encourages families to get creative with their pizza. For example, parents can sneak vegetables into a classic veggie pizza and create a spider web with mozzarella, adding spooky olive “spiders” on top. Another idea is wrapping pizza bites in cheese strips to resemble cute mummies.
In the past year, CAULIPOWER has introduced various new pizza products and entered the snack category with a unique baked Pizza Bite that captures the beloved nostalgic experience. The “Over the Top” line offers indulgent pizzas made with premium ingredients on a gluten-free, stone-fired cauliflower crust, mimicking a restaurant experience at home. Additionally, the brand’s cauliflower-coated all-natural Chicken Bites have gained popularity alongside the pizza options.
Halloween also boosts snack sales, with CAULIPOWER experiencing a surge during this time. “Halloween is one of the biggest days for pizza lovers, second only to the Super Bowl,” Becker explained. “As families prepare for trick-or-treating, pizza consumption rises, with sales in the frozen pizza category increasing by 7% in the weeks leading up to Halloween. In October, 10% of buyers’ total spending in this category occurs.”
As a mother of two sons with Celiac Disease, Becker understands the struggle of finding gluten-free options during holidays and events. With CAULIPOWER being the leading gluten-free pizza crust in the U.S., everyone can enjoy their favorite comfort foods together. Becker remains committed to ensuring that consumers never have to choose between taste, health, and convenience.
