Bridges Craft Pizza & Wine Bar in Greencastle will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants on November 20. The filming will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the popular local restaurant.
The America’s Best Restaurants team will visit several local eateries in mid-November 2024, including Big Bear Biscuits, Alley Cat Lounge, and Bridges Craft Pizza & Wine Bar. The national media company, which promotes independently-owned restaurants, will highlight signature dishes and conduct interviews with owners and staff about the restaurants’ roles in the community. The episodes will be shared widely on social media after filming.
Bridges Pizza & Wine Bar, founded by Joyce and Judson Green, originally served as an extension of Music On The Square, a community venue partnered with the DePauw School of Music. The restaurant offers an upscale yet casual menu, featuring pizzas, pastas, small plates, salads, and entrees.
Big Bear Biscuits, located on E 96th Street, focuses on from-scratch biscuits and serves breakfast, lunch, and brunch in a modern setting with outdoor seating. Their menu includes hearty dishes, handcrafted coffee, and cocktails.
Alley Cat Lounge, described as Broad Ripple’s oldest neighborhood bar, offers a dive-bar atmosphere with daily specials, trivia, tastings, happy hour, and a menu of burgers, sandwiches, wings, and pizza. They open at 7 a.m. to serve breakfast.
Filming for America’s Best Restaurants will take place at Alley Cat Lounge on November 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Big Bear Biscuits on November 20 from 9 a.m. to noon, and at Bridges Craft Pizza on November 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
