A woman has died after a pickup truck crashed into a pizza restaurant in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
RCMP report the incident occurred just before lunchtime on Saturday at Boston Pizza, located at Franklin Ave. and Richards St. Police say a Ford F350 pickup truck caused severe damage to the building.
One of the restaurant’s employees, a 24-year-old woman, was struck by the truck. She was taken to Northern Lights Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the truck, the only person in the vehicle, has been charged. RCMP have cleared the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
