Craveworthy Brands, which manages 15 restaurant brands and operates 225 locations across the country, purchased Fresh Brothers.

Gregg Majewski, CEO of Craveworthy Brands, told the L.A. Times that Fresh Brothers will open locations in the Chicago area and begin franchising in other states by March. Additionally, the chain will continue to open more locations in California.

The expansion comes at a time when many fast-casual dining chains, such as Mod Pizza, Shake Shack, and Rubio’s Coastal Grill, have faced challenges like inflation and high labor costs, leading to downsizing or even bankruptcy. Fresh Brothers’ growth stands out in this tough environment.
